Arts Integration offers students the opportunity for meaningful learning experiences and connecting knowledge across disciplines. Youth Educator Amy Steel will discuss the meaning of Arts Integration. Using examples of contemporary artists and the work of children she will discuss how both contemporary artists and young learners use art as a way to convey academic & studio based knowledge. She will present her work as a teaching artist with The Right Brain Initiative. Right Brain staff will be present to discuss the important arts integration work that is happening in our local public schools. Please rsvp.
