The MA in Critical Theory and Creative Research, along with the Middle East Studies Center at PSU and the MFA in Applied Craft and Design would like to present a talk by Salam Atta Sabri, Director of the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad. He will deliver a lecture in the “Theory of the Object” seminar.

Salam Atta Sabri is an artist and the Director of the National Museum of Modern Art in Baghdad. Following the looting of 2003, he published a partial list of the artwork missing from the Museum. In addition, he founded a non-governmental organization that works to preserve the history and artworks of the pioneers of modern Iraqi fine arts (one of whom was his father).
