Apr 19 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM
Please join us this Saturday, April 19, 2014 from 3–6pm for a Wikipedia Feminist Art Edit-a-thon, hosted by Ellen Lesperance and the Pacific Northwest College of Art as part of Disjecta’s PORTLAND2014 “The Saturday Series.” The event will be held at the PNCA Fine Art Library and it follows the ArtAndFeminism event held at Portland State University (and throughout the world) in February, 2014. For more details, please visit the following Wikipedia page:
Our goal is to find, expand, create and identify all the substantive topics in feminism and women’s rights and to expand the presence of these topics on Wikipedia.
If you have knowledge of, an interest in, or simply want to help improve articles pertaining to feminism, you are welcome to join.
This project does not extol any point of view, political or otherwise, other than that of a neutral documentarian. You don’t have to identify as a feminist to join this WikiProject but you may want to Google the definition of feminism, which advocates that women have equal rights with men.
Prior Wikipedia editing is not required; assistance will be available the afternoon of the event and Wikipedia FAQ workbooks will be available on the premises to guide those new to the process. The PNCA library is such an optimal site for this event with thousands of resources on the premises! We look forward to seeing you!
