Commencement Ceremony

PNCA proudly presents the summer graduate class of 2014 from two graduate programs.

About the Ceremony The Commencement Ceremony at the PNCA runs from 4:00-6:00 pm. Graduates need to arrive at 3pm for the class photo. Tickets are not necessary and seating is on a first come, first serve basis. If any guest uses a wheelchair, please let Wayne Bund ( know ahead of time.

About the Reception Following the Commencement Ceremony, there will be a reception for the various thesis exhibitions with light snacks. The reception runs until 8pm.

About Richard Toscan Richard Toscan is Dean Emeritus of Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of the Arts, ranked as one of the top four visual arts and design programs in America. Prior to joining VCU in 1996, he was a dean at the University of Southern California and later Portland State. While in Portland, he led the establishment of the City’s Downtown Cultural District. He has served on many boards including the Portland Center for the Performing Arts, ArtFair Seattle, and ArtFair Los Angeles. He is a Past President of the International Council of Fine Arts Deans and a recipient of the National Council of Arts Administrators’ Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Arts.
