PNCA will welcome all of Portland to its first First Thursday in our new campus flagship, the Arlene and Harold Schnitzer Center for Art and Design at 511 NW Broadway on March 5, 2015 from 6-9pm. Not only will PNCA open a number of exhibitions on this date, but visitors will also be able to get a first look at the dramatic renovation designed by Brad Cloepfil of Allied Works of this historic federal building.
There will be food carts outside of the building, refreshments, and most importantly, visitors will be able to visit all of PNCA’s exhibition spaces.

Dorothy Lemelson Innovation Studio
A performance by Takahiro Yamamoto featuring 10 performers, all of whom are PNCA students, alumni, faculty, or staff. Featuring movement performers Stephanie Yu, Katie Piatt, Jung Ming, Michael Reinsch, Stephanie Brachmann, Nicolo Gentile, Takahiro Yamamoto; sound performers Val Gayevskaya, Ben Glas-Hochstettler, Justine Highsmith, Anita Spaeth; and text performers Linden How, Thomas Gamble, and Travis Nikolai.
Video + Sound and Animated Arts projections, installations, and performances in locations throughout the first 2.5 floors of the building.
Intermediate Animated Arts students include Santi Chandravongsri, Matt Dan, Arianna Gazca, Jack Graydon, Nancy Guzman, Robin Leadbetter, Kathryn McAnnalley, and Nyssa Oru. Projection, Sound + Space students include Adam Simmons, Anna Lensch, Ben Glas, Chaz Stobbs, Devin Ray, Emily Wise, Hannah Lewis-Lopes, Joseph Greer, Lou Watson, and Skyler Leaf.
At PNCA’s Museum of Contemporary Craft, visitors will be able to view an exhibition of Italian glass, Living With Glass: The Ed Cauduro and Dane Nelson Collections. Also on view, Extra Credit: Students Mine the Collection, an exhibition curated by PNCA students.
