OPENING RECEPTION // March 2nd // 6-9pm

ABOUT BALLET SCHOOL // What is the color pallet of seduction? In an era of over-stimulation, over-saturation, and over-advertisement, how are we sold to? And more importantly, how do we sell ourselves? Using (and subverting) the language of contemporary fashion ads, tumblr aesthetics, the seductive and the grotesque, Ballet School is selling a feeling. Ballet School says you’ll look like Kate Moss in that dress. Ballet School knows you want it. Ballet School can give it to you. Think of who you could be with Ballet School.

Curatorial Fellow and MFA in Visual Studies candidate, Elena Thomas, is the present facilitator of exhibitions at the Lodge Gallery inside Allied Works Architecture and PNCA’s Holt Gallery / Student Project Space at 511 NW Broadway.
