Starting Monday, April 24 through Friday April 28, classes will be completely suspended to allow our entire campus community to focus on and attend the presentations of our senior thesis students.

The focus of PNCA senior thesis year is to conceive a project of your own design and to produce it with the support of faculty, including a mentor who work with you one-on-one, and your peers. This culminates with you installing your thesis work and making a presentation before a panel of professional artists and/or designers during Focus Week.

Throughout the week, a variety of special programs, lectures, workshops, readings and film screenings are also scheduled throughout the week to help us become more informed about what’s happening in the world creative culture. Throughout this process, seniors gain a deeper understanding of who they are as an artist while creating lasting bonds with faculty and peers.

This is an opportunity for everyone – faculty, staff, students, alumni and the Portland community – to share and honor the accomplishments of these students.
