Opening Reception: Thursday, July 6th // 6-9pm

Eleven self-portraits taken at the moment of climax. Some real. Some fake. Honestly lives in the grey matter of not knowing. It questions the difference between reality and one’s perception of reality. Challenging the viewer to re-define their notion of realness, Honestly allows the viewers to construct their own narrative. Hopefully, it has a happy ending.

Born and raised in New Orleans, Eric Long relocated to Portland (OR) after receiving his BA in Film & Theatre Arts from the University of New Orleans. He is currently a MFA Visual Studies candidate at Pacific Northwest College of Art. With a tongue-in-cheek take on minimalism, he uses a multi-media approach to question everything from societal sexuality to cultural boredom. He has exhibited in group shows around Portland.

Curatorial Fellow and MFA in Visual Studies candidate, Elena Thomas, is the present facilitator of exhibitions at the Lodge Gallery inside Allied Works Architecture and PNCA’s MFA Galleries / Student Project Spaces at 511 NW Broadway.
