Oct 5, 2017 - Oct 7, 2017
For three days this October, come join us to learn more about PNCA’s dynamic suite of graduate programs, and discover how we empower artists and designers to reimagine what art and design can do in the world.
Our 2017 Fall Graduate Symposium, “Visualizing Resistance: Examining the Social Function of Art and Design,” will commence with an opening reception on Thursday, October 5th, for a curated group show featuring work and writings from current graduate candidates. Stick around for monthly First Thursday arts celebrations taking place within PNCA, and the Portland Arts community.
Friday, October 6th, events include individual program workshops, demonstrations, and lectures with local and visiting artists, writers, and designers. There will also be opportunity to visit campus facilities, gain insight into the application process, as well as talk with PNCA faculty, staff, and current students.
Saturday, October 7th, will close this series of events with a themed panel discussion, more opportunities for campus tours, individual program meetings, and a keynote guest lecture by writer, Gregory Sholette.
Registration for this free event is required. You can RSVP online here
