Join MFA Collaborative Design & MA Design Systems for Fuckup Night! An evening of celebrating bad decisions and the under appreciated art of learning from your mistakes.

This round of Fuckup Night stories will feature guests from the environmental advocacy and sustainability sector, including Greg Block, president of Sustainable Northwest. It’s Fuckup Night: Green Edition!

In every Fuckup Night, three or four speakers tell their failure story: What was the project? What went wrong?
What did they learn? What would they do differently?
The speakers can be quite varied: artists, architects, technology, green and social entrepreneurs, and even a doctor who a few years ago opened a sex shop that went broke. Each of them tells their story in 10 images (each projected for 40 seconds) then there is a Q&A session, and at the end of the speakers’ stories, we open a space for networking among attendees.

Fuckup Nights is a global movement where stories of failed businesses and projects are told, questioned and celebrated.
The first Fuckup Night happened in Mexico City in September 2012. Since then we gather every month to drink beer and listen to three stories about failure.

The concept evolved from a mezcal-infused conversation between five friends who felt the need to break free from the stigmas surrounding “failure”. As fellow entrepreneurs and soon-to-be fuckupreneurs, they deeply believed in communicating failure as a positive step everyone must overcome on the road to success. These five friends had learned this powerful lesson from the countless stories of failure experienced by Mexico’s most admired men and women. However, they knew these stories are never published in books, magazines or exposed in forums. This is what they have set about to change in Mexico, and with your help, the world.
