FREE and open to all!

Loveis Wise (she/her/they/them) is an illustrator, designer, and capricorn based in LA from Washington, DC. Her work often speaks from themes of joy, self love, Black culture, and mental health. Within her three-year span of freelancing, she has worked with clients such as The New Yorker, The New York Times, HarperCollins, Penguin Random House, Instagram, Doc Marten, REI, Weiden + Kennedy, Bitch Media, and Google.

The Design Lecture Series launched in Fall 2016 as a way to open our doors and minds to the broad and vibrant possibilities in our field. We’re welcoming design thinkers who break expectations of what design can be and do, to share their work and mingle with us throughout the school year.

Follow @PNCAIllustration and PNCADesign on instagram for our Friday Fives Q+A with Loveis in the weeks leading up to their lecture, or find it on the Graphic Design Department blog ( ).

Co-sponsored by PNCA Illustration, PNCA Graphic Design, and FISK. Posters for this year’s Design Lecture Series by Mallary Wilson, ‘20, with images courtesy of Loveis Wise.
