MFA in Applied Craft + Design is excited to welcome architect, designer and educator Ania Jaworska for a lecture on her work and practice as part of the Hallie Ford School of Graduate Studies Spring 2020 Lecture Series.

Ania Jaworska is an architect, designer and educator. Her practice focuses on exploring the connection between art and architecture and her work explores bold simple forms, humor, commentary and conceptual, historical, and cultural references. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago, School of Architecture. She holds a master’s degree in architecture from Cracow University of Technology in Poland as well as the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan.

Her work was presented at the Venice Biennale, Chicago Architectural Biennale, Lisbon Architecture Triennale, MOMA, Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, Cranbrook Art Museum, Kungstewerbemuseum, Chicago Cultural Center, Graham Foundation, Harvard University GSD, Storefront for Art and Architecture, Chamber Gallery, Friedman Benda Gallery, Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute, amongst others. She is a 2017 MoMA PS1 Young Architects Program Finalist.

Her design work is represented by Volume Gallery.
