Nishat has enjoyed sharing her artwork globally through exhibitions, lectures and workshops from New York to Japan and is actively involved in equity and inclusion work, both in her workplace and day-to-day community. She is passionate about people, design, storytelling, art, education music and sports, and she brings a great deal of these passions into her work in fluid ways.
Hosted by the BFA Graphic Design program at Pacific Northwest college of Art since 2016, the Design Lecture Series welcomes designers from all over the world to share their work and what moves them.
The 2020-2021 evolution of our series takes advantage of the potential for more interaction across our distances by hosting panel discussions in place of traditional lectures. As a way to open our “doors” and minds to the broad and vibrant possibilities in design, panels are driven by current students and faculty in conversation with a diverse set of creative folks who break expectations of what design can be and do in the world today.
